After having the honor and privilege of praying for Global Legacy leaders in England for hours, I was filled to overflowing with the joy and love of the Lord. It was my best day and experience so far during my mission trip.
I went downstairs to have lunch with our team, and after eating I went to the restroom. I washed my hands next to my friend, Kathleen. Immediately my hand began to burn, and she and I looked at my hand, as it was turning red. I assumed I was having an allergic reaction to the soap. I went into the stall, and when I came out, I washed my hands again with just water. When I grabbed the paper towel, I noticed writing on my hand. I tried to wipe it off, but it wasn't changing. Kathleen looked also, and clearly it was writing on my hand.
I went back to the table to see if I had been leaning on anything on the table that transferred the letters. There was nothing. In fact, we had been praying for hours. I hadn't been near anything! I asked the people with me what it looked like, and we all agreed it said, "I AM."
What? Yes, God wrote His name on my hand! I showed the team, and we were all in awe and wonder at God.
I found a corner to just sit in this intense love that I was feeling. After a bit, I thought I should probably take a picture. As I tried to capture the letters on my hand, gold dust started to appear on my hand. I was consumed in His mystery and His extravagant love. Isaiah 49:16, "See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."
The writing and gold lasted for hours and then they were gone. My right hand burned for three days.
