In Los Angeles, Jesus Culture had an event in the Nokia Theater, and a little over 5,000 attended. Scot Thompson said, “There is no organized outreach. You will go to lunch and dinner for the next two days. Make sure you yield to the Holy Spirit.” About 90% had stepped out and prayed for people over lunch and dinner. They brought back videos of people cutting casts off, people giving their lives to Jesus.
A nine-year-old girl during Scott’s session received a word of knowledge about a guy with a green shirt and spiked hair. She then saw someone who matched that description and asked if she could pray for him. His stomach was torn up because of food allergies. He could only eat fruits or vegetables or he would pass out and go to the hospital. The girl prayed for him word-for-word what he prays in his prayer closet. He was stunned. He felt he was healed, so he went to the restaurant and ordered everything he couldn’t normally eat. If he ate bread, he could swell up and die. He thought, “At least if I pass out right now, someone from Jesus Culture will pray for me.” He ate it all with no problem. That evening he testified that he is completely healed.
